During the recent 0% financing craze, MATCU found that many of its members didn’t know that they were giving up rebates or longer terms to get that 0%, and could save money by using credit union financing. Some members also found that the 0% loans were not available to people with merely good credit scores.
The disturbingly sunburned “lobster guy” was an attention-getting and entertaining way to get the message across in posters, direct mail, ads, and lobby cut-outs.
