CUNA Council "Shoes" Campaign

CUNA had developed separate councils in order to meet the needs of their members based on the specifics of each person’s job responsibilities, with the idea that these people could learn from the experiences of their peers. However, the membership numbers did not seem to grow from year to year. In 2002 CUNA asked iDiz to market the councils and increase interest and membership.

With the widespread nature of the target markets for each council, iDiz recommended a direct mail campaign that would make each council’s marketing unique, but also connect with a common theme across all the councils. A series of oversized card mailings were produced with staggered mailings of an initial introduction, then specific pieces targeted to credit union employees based on their job descriptions. Individual brochures were designed for each council as follow up, and folders were developed for CUNA to use in promoting all of the councils. The councils’ web site was also redesigned to match the print materials.

IDiz has also designed several conference brochures for the councils over the years, and was asked to make a presentation on media at the 2005 Marketing and Business Development Conference.
